Frequently Asked Easy Hosting Questions
Some companies have FAQ's that are miles long.
Because of our easy web hosting, we really only get 3 questions when people call in.
So to save you some phone time and a quarter, here are the answers!
1. How do I get my traffic reports?
If you want to get your traffic reports yourself, that's easy.
- Click here
- Log in using the "websiteOS" form on the left.
- Agree to the terms if this is your first time logging in.
- Click "Statistics" in the top left.
- Click "Web Stats" in the new menu that appears beneath it.
- Click to create, update or display your report in the new screen that appears.
2. How do check my email online?
That's easy as well of course. Just click here and log into our "webMail" interface using the form on the right. Username is your email address.
3. How do plug my email into Outlook?
This takes a couple of steps, but it's also easy.
At least as easy as Microsoft can make it.
Remember to replace "username" with your actual username, and replace "yourname.com" with your actual domain name. Scroll down.
SETTINGS:
- Mail Account: Name it anything
- Email Address: username@yourname.com
- Reply Address: username@yourname.com
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.yourname.com
- Incoming Mail (POP) Server: mail.yourname.com
- Logon using Account Name: username.yourname.com
PORTS:
- Outgoing: 25 or 1025 (requires authentication)
- Incoming: 110 (POP) or 143 (IMAP)
STEPS:
- Start Outlook.
- Select "Accounts" from the Tool menu.
- Select the "Add" button and choose "Mail".
- Enter your real name in the "Display name" text box.
- Click the "Next" button to continue.
- Enter your email address (in the form of username@yourname.com) in the "E-mail address" text box.
- Click the "Next" button to continue.
- Enter the incoming mail server name (in the form of mail.yourname.com) in the "Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server" text box.
- Enter the outgoing mail server name (in the form of mail.yourname.com) in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" text box.
- Click the "Next" button to continue.
- Select "POP3" from the "my incoming mail server is a" drop-down menu.
- Enter your email username and password.
- Enter your account name (in the form of: username.yourname.com) in the "Account name" text box.
- Enter your account password in the "Password" text box. Your password is hidden for security reasons.
- Click the "Next" button to continue.
- Enter your connection type and click the "Next" button to continue.
- Click the "Finish" button.
After that you're all set!
